Office Makeover

We had some fun this last month doing a renovation to one of our offices. It had old paint, outdated trim, and was quite dark. Some of the guests of the mission lent their expertise sprucing up the space. Our bookkeeper, Kelsey, works in this office, so we added a few personal touches for her (the framed violin on the wall). A big thanks to Tim and Steve for helping out!

Building Update

Back in February we told you that we are looking into expanding and we are still in the process. Our plans have been drafted! We are now working on bids and the permitting process. Stay tuned and we will continue to update you all. Please join us in prayer for the Lord’s Will to be accomplished with this project.

Prayer Requests

1. Wisdom for the Director of the Mission and the Board of Directors as they carry out the important work of the Lord. May they discern the best path forward being the hands and feet in this ministry. Specifically as we continue to plan for a possible expansion in order to tackle the growing need in our community.

2. Prayer for the men who have come and gone from the mission. As they head out on their journey, we need to remember them in our prayers. And prepare the hearts of the men who will be guests in the future.

Mission Needs

1. Our Refrigerator is on its last leg. It is a large commercial double door model. We are looking into options, but our time is running short. Please pray for the Lord's providence and reach out to the mission if you have any avenues for sourcing one.

2. We need a new wire trimmer (weed eater).

3. Ground beef and chicken that can be frozen and stored for later.

Bible Sharing

Romans 12:1

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.

To offer ourselves as living sacrifices means that our bodies, minds, and actions are to align with God’s purposes. This requires submitting our desires, plans, and even our fears and weaknesses to Him. We are to live in a way set apart from how the world lives and be pleasing to God, being transformed and shaped by his character.

Remember, the enemy doesn’t want you to offer your body as a living sacrifice to God because he understands the true power of a believer who is willing to set aside their flesh in a sacrifice of praise. That’s why your spiritual service of worship involves the “death” of your flesh! The enemy tries to keep you ensnared in the natural realm as much as possible because he can defeat you there! But the daily, holy sacrifice of your physical actions of praise to the Lord will keep your spirit, heart, and mind strong in faith.

Never forget, we get to do this because of the unmerited grace that God has lavished upon us. Jesus saves! Let us glorify the Lord in our daily life “in view of God’s mercy”
